Beautifully situated on the forest edge by the world-renowned piste "WM Herrenstrecke", you will find Chalet Planai. Here, at about 1000 meters altitude, there is a beautiful view of the beautiful mountains at Dachstein, and with the unique location, Planai connects the entire ski area of Schladming. The Planai piste has housed several major ski events over the years, including the World Alpine Ski Championships and the World Cup in night slalom.
Chalet Planai itself is located at an altitude of 1000 metres and when the snow has fallen there is "ski in" from the piste. For "ski out", simply move 150 meters further up. If, on the other hand, you want to drive to the lift station "Die Damen", it is about 1.6 kilometers. Here it is recommended to bring snow chains to the car.
If you are into après skiing, you have also landed in the right place by choosing Chalet Planai. Europe's largest après-ski bar, Tenne, is located right by the foot of the hill and contains a full 5 storey après ski and schlager music for those who want to sing along.
In summer, there is also ample opportunity to explore the area and a sea of activities to choose from. Here are fantastic hiking opportunities, as well as perfect conditions for mountain biking, where the route is on your doorstep. The lift system also runs in summer.
Chalet Planai is located in the middle of the well-known 4-mountain area of Hauser Kaibling-Planai-Hochwurzen-Reiteralm. The area is also part of the large area "Ski-Amade" with small 1000 km of piste in total.
If you want to go for a trip to the area in Flachau and Wagrain, you can drive there in a good half hour.
In summer there are walks on your doorstep and there is a path down to the cozy town of Schladming. It takes about 20 minutes to walk down to the city, where there is plenty of life and a cozy pedestrian street.
Mountain biking is also on your doorstep with routes on the summer-open piste Planai. There are also good mountain routes for cyclists – however, there is a sandy road the last distance down to the house.
For golf enthusiasts, there are also fine conditions on some of the most beautiful golf courses in Austria: the 18-hole course Dachstein Tauern Golf Club, the 18-hole course Schloss Pichlarn Golf Club, as well as a 10-hole course called Kobaldhof's Natural Golf Course.
Other activities include Mountain Gokart, Golf, Segway, Gokart course, Paragliding, Zipline, Rafting, Rock climbing, Panoramic tour of the Dachstein Glacier. There are a total of over 100 activities you can do in the area and you can read about them all at this link.
Chalet Planai is built in 4 level, where a total of over 870 square meters are available. On the lower level there are 2 apartments which act as independent units with their own kitchen, toillettes and bath and the top 3 floors are a self-contained apartment.
